class=\"subsection\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p>(a)<span class=\"added-material\">(1)<\/span>\u2002A party demanding\u00a0inspection<span class=\"added-material\">, copying, testing, or sampling<\/span>\u00a0shall number each set of demands consecutively.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p><span class=\"added-material\">(2)\u2002A party demanding inspection, copying, testing, or sampling of electronically stored information may specify the form or forms in which each type of electronically stored information is to be produced.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p>(b)\u2002In the first paragraph immediately below the title of the case, there shall appear the identity of the demanding party, the set number, and the identity of the responding party.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p>(c)\u2002Each demand in a set shall be separately set forth, identified by number or letter, and shall do all of the following:<\/p>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p>(1)\u2002Designate the documents, tangible things,\u00a0land or other property<span class=\"added-material\">, or electronically stored information<\/span>\u00a0to be inspected<span class=\"added-material\">, copied, tested, or sampled<\/span>\u00a0either by specifically describing each individual item or by reasonably particularizing each category of item.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p>(2)\u2002Specify a reasonable time for the inspection<span class=\"added-material\">, copying, testing, or sampling<\/span>\u00a0that is at least 30 days after service of the demand, unless the court for good cause shown has granted leave to specify an earlier date. \u2002In an unlawful detainer action or other proceeding under Chapter 4 (commencing with\u00a0<span class=\"cite\">Section 1159\u00a0<\/span>) of Title 3 of Part 3, the demand shall specify a reasonable time for the inspection<span class=\"added-material\">, copying, testing, or sampling<\/span>\u00a0that is at least five days after service of the demand, unless the court, for good cause shown, has granted leave to specify an earlier date.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p>(3)\u2002Specify a reasonable place for making the inspection, copying,\u00a0<span class=\"added-material\">testing, or sampling,<\/span>\u00a0and performing any related activity.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p>(4)\u2002Specify any\u00a0<span class=\"added-material\">inspection, copying, testing, sampling, or<\/span>\u00a0related activity that is being demanded, as well as the manner in which that activity will be performed, and whether that\u00a0activity will permanently alter or destroy the item involved.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><br class=\"avia-permanent-lb\" \/><br class=\"avia-permanent-lb\" \/><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<hr
