class=\"subsection\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p>(a)\u2002Within 30 days after service of interrogatories,\u00a0the party to whom the interrogatories are propounded shall serve the original of the response to them on the propounding party, unless on motion of the propounding party the court has shortened the time for response, or unless on motion of the responding party the court has extended the time for response.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p><span class=\"added-material\">(b)\u2002Notwithstanding subdivision (a), in an unlawful detainer action or other proceeding under Chapter 4 (commencing with\u00a0<span class=\"cite\">Section 1159\u00a0<\/span>) of Title 3 of Part 3, the party to whom the interrogatories are propounded shall have five days from the date of service to respond, unless on motion of the propounding party the court has shortened the time for response, or unless on motion of the responding party the court has extended the time for response.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p><span class=\"added-material\">(c)<\/span>\u2002The party to whom the interrogatories are propounded shall also serve a copy of the response on all other parties who have appeared in the action. \u2002On motion, with or without notice, the court may relieve the party from this requirement on its determination that service on all other parties would be unduly expensive or burdensome.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br class=\"avia-permanent-lb\" \/><br class=\"avia-permanent-lb\"
