Making or possessing counterfeiting dies, plates, or other apparatus<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">(a)\u2002Every person who makes, or knowingly has in his or her possession any die, plate, or any apparatus, paper, metal, machine, or other thing whatever, made use of in counterfeiting coin current in this state, or in counterfeiting gold dust, gold or silver bars, bullion, lumps, pieces, or nuggets, or in counterfeiting bank notes or bills, is punishable by imprisonment <span class=\"added-material\">pursuant to\u00a0<span class=\"cite\">subdivision (h) of Section 1170\u00a0<\/span><\/span>for two, three, or four years; and all dies, plates, apparatus, papers, metals, or machines intended for the purpose aforesaid, must be destroyed.<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p>(b)(1)\u2002If the counterfeiting apparatus or machine used to violate this section is a computer, computer system, or computer network, the apparatus or machine shall be disposed of pursuant to\u00a0<span class=\"cite\">Section 502.01\u00a0<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p>(2)\u2002For the purposes of this section, \u201c<span class=\"wordphrase\">computer system<\/span>\u201d and \u201c<span class=\"wordphrase\">computer network<\/span>\u201d have the same meaning as that specified in\u00a0<span class=\"cite\">Section 502\u00a0<\/span>. \u2002The terms \u201c<span class=\"wordphrase\">computer, computer system, or computer network<\/span>\u201d include any software or data residing on the computer, computer system, or computer network used in a violation of this section.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><br class=\"avia-permanent-lb\" \/><br class=\"avia-permanent-lb\" \/><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<hr \/>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/crowdsourcelawyers.com\/\">CrowdSourceLawyers.com<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":7,"featured_media":0,"parent":2019,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-2345","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
