class=\"subsection\">(a)\u2002Except as provided in subdivisions (b) and (c), the <span class=\"added-material\">writ expires and the<\/span>\u00a0levying officer to whom the writ of execution is delivered shall return the writ to the court,\u00a0<span class=\"added-material\">or store the writ as provided in\u00a0<span class=\"cite\">Section 263.6\u00a0<\/span>, and file a return with the court reporting<\/span>\u00a0the levying officer&#8217;s actions and an accounting of amounts collected<span class=\"added-material\">,<\/span>\u00a0and costs incurred, at the earliest of the following times:<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">(1)\u2002Two years from the date of issuance of the writ<span class=\"added-material\">, unless\u00a0<span class=\"cite\">paragraph (1) of subdivision (a) of Section 706.022\u00a0<\/span>is applicable<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">(2)\u2002Promptly after all of the duties under the writ are performed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">(3)\u2002When return is requested in writing by the judgment creditor.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">(4)\u2002If no levy takes place under the writ within 180 days after its issuance, promptly after the expiration of the 180-day period.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">(5)\u2002Upon expiration of the time for enforcement of the money judgment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p>(b)\u2002If a levy has been made under\u00a0<span class=\"cite\">Section 700.200\u00a0<\/span>upon an interest in personal property in the estate of a decedent, the writ shall be returned within the time prescribed in\u00a0<span class=\"cite\">Section 700.200\u00a0<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p>(c)\u2002If a levy has been made under\u00a0<span class=\"cite\">Section 5103 of the Family Code\u00a0<\/span>on the judgment debtor&#8217;s right to the payment of benefits from an employee pension benefit plan, the writ shall be returned within the time prescribed in that section.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p>(d)\u2002If a levy has been made under the Wage Garnishment Law (Chapter 5 (commencing with\u00a0<span class=\"cite\">Section 706.010\u00a0<\/span>)), and the earnings withholding order remains in effect, the writ of execution shall be returned as provided in subdivision (a) and a supplemental return shall be made as provided in\u00a0<span class=\"cite\">Section 706.033\u00a0<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p><span class=\"added-material\">(e)\u2002Subject to the limitations in\u00a0<span class=\"cite\">subdivision (c) of Section 263\u00a0<\/span>, a levying officer may electronically file with the court the return, containing the information required by subdivision (a), pursuant to Chapter 2 (commencing with\u00a0<span class=\"cite\">Section 263\u00a0<\/span>) of Title 4 of Part 1.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br class=\"avia-permanent-lb\" \/><br class=\"avia-permanent-lb\" \/><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<hr \/>\n<p><a
