class=\"subsection\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p>(a)\u2002An inmate imprisoned under a life sentence shall not be paroled until he or she has served the greater of the following:<\/p>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">(1)\u2002A term of at least seven calendar years.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">(2)\u2002A term as established pursuant to any other law that establishes a minimum term or minimum period of confinement under a life sentence before eligibility for parole.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p>(b)\u2002If two or more life sentences are ordered to run consecutively to each other pursuant to\u00a0<span class=\"cite\">Section 669\u00a0<\/span>, an inmate so imprisoned shall not be paroled until he or she has served the term specified in subdivision (a) on each of the life sentences that are ordered to run consecutively.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p>(c)\u2002Notwithstanding subdivisions (a) and (b), an inmate found suitable for parole pursuant to a youth offender parole hearing as described in\u00a0<span class=\"cite\">Section 3051\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"added-material\">or an elderly parole hearing as described in\u00a0<span class=\"cite\">Section 3055\u00a0<\/span><\/span>shall be paroled regardless of the manner in which the board set release dates pursuant to\u00a0<span class=\"cite\">subdivision (a) of Section 3041\u00a0<\/span>, subject to\u00a0<span class=\"cite\">subdivision (b) of Section 3041\u00a0<\/span>and\u00a0<span class=\"cite\">Sections 3041.1\u00a0<\/span>and\u00a0<span class=\"cite\">3041.2\u00a0<\/span>, as applicable.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p>(d)\u2002The Board of Parole Hearings shall, in considering a parole for an inmate, consider all statements and recommendations which may have been submitted by the judge, district attorney, and sheriff, pursuant to\u00a0<span class=\"cite\">Section 1203.01\u00a0<\/span>, or in response to notices given under\u00a0<span class=\"cite\">Section 3042\u00a0<\/span>, and recommendations of other persons interested in the granting or denying of parole. \u2002The board shall enter on its order granting or denying parole to these inmates, the fact that the statements and recommendations have been considered by it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br class=\"avia-permanent-lb\" \/><br class=\"avia-permanent-lb\"
