class=\"subsection\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p>(a)\u2002After setting aside the necessary state administrative funds, the department shall allocate all social services funds derived from the federal Refugee Act of 1980 (<span class=\"cite\">\u00a0Public Law 96-212\u00a0<\/span>), as amended,\u00a0<span class=\"added-material\">that<\/span>\u00a0are required to be used for employment-related and English language training to each eligible county<span class=\"added-material\">,<\/span>\u00a0in the same proportion that refugees on aid in each eligible county\u00a0<span class=\"added-material\">bears<\/span>\u00a0to the total refugees on aid in all eligible counties. \u2002<span class=\"added-material\">The department shall assign differential weights for refugees based on the length of time that they have resided in the United States, as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><span class=\"added-material\">(1)\u2002For refugees who have resided in this country one year or less, the department shall use a weight of 1.50 for the purposes of calculating the allocation in this subdivision.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><span class=\"added-material\">(2)\u2002For refugees who have resided in this country two years or less, but more than one year, the department shall use a weight of 1.25 for the purposes of calculating the allocation in this subdivision.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><span class=\"added-material\">(3)\u2002For refugees who have resided in this country five years or less, but more than two years, the department shall use a weight of 1.00 for the purposes of calculating the allocation in this subdivision.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p><span class=\"added-material\">(b)\u2002After setting aside the necessary state administrative funds, the department shall allocate all federal targeted assistance received by the department to the counties designated by the federal government as eligible in the same way funds are allocated by the federal government in the final targeted assistance formula allocations to states.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p>(c)\u2002For the purposes of this section<span class=\"added-material\">, \u201c<\/span><span class=\"wordphrase\">eligible county<\/span>\u201d means a county\u00a0<span class=\"added-material\">or city and county<\/span>\u00a0designated as impacted using a formula to be developed by the department based upon the\u00a0refugee\u00a0<span class=\"added-material\">arrivals<\/span>\u00a0in the county\u00a0<span class=\"added-material\">during the preceding 60-month period for which the department has data<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br class=\"avia-permanent-lb\" \/><br
