California Career Criminal Prosecution Program; Allocation and award of funds to counties<\/h2>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p>(a)\u2002There is hereby established in the\u00a0<span class=\"added-material\">Office of Emergency Services<\/span>\u00a0a program of financial and technical assistance for district attorneys&#8217; offices, designated the California Career Criminal Prosecution Program. \u2002All funds appropriated to the\u00a0<span class=\"added-material\">office<\/span>\u00a0for the purposes of this chapter shall be administered and disbursed by the\u00a0<span class=\"added-material\">Director of Emergency Services<\/span>, and shall to the greatest extent feasible be coordinated or consolidated with federal funds that may be made available for these purposes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p>(b)\u2002The\u00a0<span class=\"added-material\">Director of Emergency Services<\/span>\u00a0is authorized to allocate and award funds to counties in which career criminal prosecution units are established in substantial compliance with the policies and criteria set forth below in\u00a0<span class=\"cite\">Sections 999d\u00a0<\/span>,\u00a0<span class=\"cite\">999e\u00a0<\/span>,\u00a0<span class=\"cite\">999f\u00a0<\/span>, and\u00a0<span class=\"cite\">999g\u00a0<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p>(c)\u2002The allocation and award of funds shall be made upon application executed by the county&#8217;s district attorney and approved by its board of supervisors. \u2002Funds disbursed under this chapter shall not supplant local funds that would, in the absence of the California Career Criminal Prosecution Program, be made available to support the prosecution of felony cases. \u2002Funds available under this program shall not be subject to review as specified in\u00a0<span class=\"cite\">Section 14780 of the Government Code\u00a0<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br class=\"avia-permanent-lb\" \/><br class=\"avia-permanent-lb\" \/><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<hr \/>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/crowdsourcelawyers.com\/\">CrowdSourceLawyers.com<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":7,"featured_media":0,"parent":2019,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-5375","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.6 -
