class=\"subsection\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p>(a)\u2002Unless the power of an agent is coupled with an interest in the subject of the agency, it is terminated by any of the following:<\/p>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p>(1)\u2002Its revocation by the principal.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p>(2)\u2002The death of the principal.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p>(3)\u2002The incapacity of the principal to contract.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p>(b)\u2002Notwithstanding subdivision (a), any bona fide transaction entered into with\u00a0<span class=\"added-material\">an<\/span>\u00a0agent by any person acting without actual knowledge of the revocation, death, or incapacity shall be binding upon the principal, his or her heirs, devisees, legatees, and other successors in interest.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p>(c)\u2002Nothing in this section shall affect the provisions of\u00a0<span class=\"cite\">Section 1216\u00a0<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p><span class=\"added-material\">(d)<\/span>\u2002With respect to a proxy given by a person to another person relating to the exercise of voting rights, to the extent the provisions of this section conflict with or contravene any other provisions of the statutes of California pertaining to the proxy, the latter provisions shall prevail.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br class=\"avia-permanent-lb\" \/><br class=\"avia-permanent-lb\" \/><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<hr \/>\n<p><a
