class=\"subsection\">(a)\u2002The waiting period described in <span class=\"cite\">Section 27540\u00a0<\/span>does not apply to the sale, delivery, or transfer of a handgun<span class=\"added-material\">, and commencing January 1, 2014, any firearm,<\/span>\u00a0by a dealer in either of the following situations:<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">(1)\u2002The dealer is delivering the firearm to another dealer, the firearm is not intended as merchandise in the receiving dealer&#8217;s business, and the requirements of subdivisions (b) and (c) are satisfied.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">(2)\u2002The dealer is delivering the firearm to himself or herself, the firearm is not intended as merchandise in the dealer&#8217;s business, and the requirements of subdivision (c) are satisfied.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p>(b)\u2002If the dealer is receiving the firearm from another dealer, the dealer receiving the firearm shall present proof to the dealer delivering the firearm that the receiving dealer is licensed pursuant to Article 1 (commencing with\u00a0<span class=\"cite\">Section 26700\u00a0<\/span>) and Article 2 (commencing with\u00a0<span class=\"cite\">Section 26800\u00a0<\/span>). \u2002This shall be done by complying with\u00a0<span class=\"cite\">Section 27555\u00a0<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p>(c)(1)\u2002Regardless of whether the dealer is selling, delivering, or transferring the firearm to another dealer or to himself or herself, on the date that the application to purchase is completed, the dealer delivering the firearm shall forward by prepaid mail to the Department of Justice a report of the application and the type of information concerning the purchaser or transferee as is indicated in\u00a0<span class=\"cite\">Section 28160\u00a0<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"subsection\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">(2)\u2002Where electronic or telephonic transfer of applicant information is used, on the date that the application to purchase is completed, the dealer delivering the firearm shall transmit an electronic or telephonic report of the application and the type of information concerning the purchaser or transferee as is indicated in\u00a0<span class=\"cite\">Section 28160\u00a0<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><br class=\"avia-permanent-lb\" \/><br class=\"avia-permanent-lb\" \/><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<hr \/>\n<p><a
