Tampering With Consumer Product<\/h2>\n<p>(a)\u2002In this section:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">(1)\u2002\u201cConsumer Product\u201d means any product offered for sale to or for consumption by the public and includes \u201cfood\u201d and \u201cdrugs\u201d as those terms are defined in Section 431.002, Health and Safety Code .<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">(2)\u2002\u201cTamper\u201d means to alter or add a foreign substance to a consumer product to make it probable that the consumer product will cause serious bodily injury.<\/p>\n<p>(b)\u2002A person commits an offense if he knowingly or intentionally tampers with a consumer product knowing that the consumer product will be offered for sale to the public or as a gift to another.<\/p>\n<p>(c)\u2002A person commits an offense if he knowingly or intentionally threatens to tamper with a consumer product with the intent to cause fear, to affect the sale of the consumer product, or to cause bodily injury to any person.<\/p>\n<p>(d)\u2002An offense under Subsection (b) is a felony of the second degree unless a person suffers serious bodily injury, in which event it is a felony of the first degree. \u2002An offense under Subsection (c) is a felony of the third degree.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/crowdsourcelawyers.com\/\">CrowdSourceLawyers.com<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":8,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-784","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.6 -
